CWI held its Annual Meeting and Employee Recognition Breakfast on November 17, 2016 at the Six Flags Great Escape Lodge in Queensbury, NY.  Each year we take time to recognize our employees with longevity and give special thanks to those who have supported us!  Nearly 200 people attended this event and more than 60 employees were recognized for 35, 20, 15, 10, 5, and 3 years of service.   A special congratulations to Dianna Schleicher and Janice Norman (pictured below, l-r) for 35 years of employment!  Both women have worked for CWI since 1981.

This year we celebrated new chapters in CWI’s history as we triumphed with major accomplishments in our day, residential and employment divisions.  We  showcased our entrepreneurial spirit  by becoming one of only seven human services organizations in the nation to open a JUST-A-BUCK  dollar store franchise.

We enjoy recognizing community partners and/or businesses that have supported our mission, vision or values in some way by partnering with us...

Derek Ellis of the Adirondack Martial Arts Academy received our Enriching Lives Award this year.

Derek teaches Karate to several individuals that attend our day services sites, each Wednesday for an hour. This is a comfortable atmosphere honoring individuals of all abilities! The Enriching Lives Award recognizes an individual who has given of their time to CWI, as well as the community at large.  Derek is the third recipient of this award.

This year’s Community Partner award recipients were the Davidson Brothers in Glens Falls, NY and the Kingsbury Fire House in Hudson Falls, NY.

A Community Partner shares our dedication and willingness to support the needs of the people we serve and epitomizes extraordinary community service.  CWI is thankful for their compassion and support of our mission.
