A headshot of Mark Hasselwander, CWI Board Chair.Mark Hasselwander, a seasoned healthcare leader with deep experience advancing access and quality for community-based organizations, was recently elected to serve as Chair of the CWI, Inc. Board of Directors.

CWI, Inc. is a leading nonprofit provider of intellectual and developmental disability services serving Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties. For more than 60 years, the organization has supported individuals to live meaningful, self-directed lives through a range of residential, day, employment, and community-based programs. CWI partners with families, caregivers, and communities to deliver person-centered services that promote independence, inclusion, and personal growth, guided by each individual’s strengths, goals and aspirations.

The CWI Board of Directors is comprised of community volunteers representing a wide range of professional backgrounds, who are directly responsible for the ongoing governance and sound fiscal stewardship of the agency.

“I’m honored to serve as Chair and support CWI’s important work,” Mr. Hasselwander noted. “I look forward to partnering with the Board and leadership team to strengthen service quality, expand access and advance innovative, person-centered supports that empower individuals and families across our communities.”

Mr. Hasselwander brings a strong operational lens and commitment to community health to his role as Chair of the CWI Board of Directors. His experience in integrated care and rural service delivery will help guide CWI’s mission to provide high-quality supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, in addition to a continued focus on access, coordination and person-centered care.

Mr. Hasselwander currently serves as Regional Practice Leader at Hudson Headwaters Health Network, a nonprofit system delivering primary and specialty care across rural Adirondack communities.

In this role, Hasselwander oversees multi-site operations and supports the integration of clinical and administrative services to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care. His work focuses on improving access for underserved populations and strengthening service delivery across a geographically dispersed region. Earlier in his career, he held district leadership roles with Walgreens and Rite Aid, managing large-scale pharmacy operations, workforce performance, and regulatory compliance.

Prior to his new role as Chair, he served as Vice Chair and has been a member of the board since June, 2024.
