CWI, Inc.’s Board of Directors is proud to announce that Mindy Wilson, who has been connected with the organization for more than two decades, has been selected as its first Executive Director following a competitive search.
Ms. Wilson began her career with CWI as a staff recruiter in the Human Resources Department before being promoted to Director of Human Resources, a role she held for eight years. She most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer for SUNY Adirondack in Queensbury and previously served as chair of the CWI Board of Directors.
“Mindy knows this organization from the inside out,” said Mark Hasselwander, chair of the CWI Board of Directors. “She genuinely cares about the people we support, the families who rely on our programs and the dedicated staff who carry out this work every day.”
A leading nonprofit provider of intellectual and developmental disability services serving Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties, CWI, Inc. has supported individuals in living meaningful, self-directed lives through a range of residential, day, employment and community-based programs for more than 60 years. CWI partners with families, caregivers and communities to deliver person-centered services that promote independence, inclusion and personal growth, guided by each individual’s strengths, goals and aspirations.
“Having served CWI, first as a member of the leadership team and more recently in volunteer capacities, I am incredibly proud of the agency and where it stands today,” Ms. Wilson said. “I am deeply committed to its mission and passionate about its continued success.”
As Executive Director, Ms. Wilson will work closely with CWI’s leadership team and Board of Directors, in addition to representing the organization in the community.
With 25 years of experience building partnerships with community leaders, organizations and regional stakeholders, Ms. Wilson is well positioned to advance CWI’s mission. Her collaborative approach will support the delivery of high-quality services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, while strengthening access, coordination and person-centered care.
“Mindy brings senior leadership experience gained from running complex organizations and guiding teams through change,” Mr. Hasselwander said. “That combination of history and experience is exactly what we were looking for in this new role.”
In addition to serving on the CWI Board of Directors, Ms. Wilson has also served on the boards of WAIT House, Habitat for Humanity of Northern Saratoga, Warren & Washington Counties, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks. She lives in Washington County.
