Just A Buck opened its first store in 1988 and has sold every single item, every single day for “a Buck”. Since then, we have not raised our price in 33 years. We have been able to consistently offer our customers incredible bargains including closeouts such as tee-shirts, sweat shirts, TY beanie babies and all the hottest trends, including pop toys and fidget spinners. We truly enjoy finding these bargains and passing the savings along to our customers. In order to continue to provide these amazing values to you, we need to adjust our price to $1.25. This decision does not come easy, and we understand this is a big change for our customers. However, our prices for greeting cards, balloons and Helium will remain at $1.00 each. We remain committed to providing you the same clean, well-organized stores, along with our helpful and courteous staff that you have come to expect. At Just A Buck and Beyond (JAB) our unique retail model offers close out items and bargain prices. We offer typical discount merchandise in addition to quality name brand merchandise. You benefit by shopping with us first because we buy overstock merchandise from name brand retailers and sell at a fraction of their price. By choosing to shop with us your dollar goes further and it helps support us to teach real life skills and encourage independence for Just A Buck and Beyond associates.
Community, Work and Independence (CWI) opened Just A Buck, a not-for-profit retail dollar store, on October 7, 2016. This store is a partnership with the Just A Buck and Beyond Corporation to provide employment, internships, assessments and training opportunities for people with disabilities.
CWI is the 7th human services organization in the nation to operate a mission-driven dollar store. Just A Buck and Beyond provides an opportunity for individuals to develop vocational skills. Like all retailers, we rely on community support and patronage as this is not a state funded venture.
